Who we are

Wholeview Farm is a first generation small family farm established in 2022 by husband and wife team Joe and Nikki Tyson. We use Adaptive Multi-Paddock Grazing to turn sunlight into grass and grass into nutrient dense meat.

Located in Viola, Wisconsin on the Kickapoo River watershed in the Great Mississippi River basin, we are blessed to steward the single most beautiful farm in the whole world. 80 acres of heavenly Driftless ridge top with 2 valleys and a large pond.

Our goal is to support human health and well being by producing the highest quality nutrient dense food possible. We will do this in a way that values and respects the natural systems we are a part of. Wild Life will always be welcome and cherished on our farm, from large apex predators to the tiniest microbes in the soil. We accept our role as the keystone species on this land and will take action when necessary to manage towards a healthy balance between producing food and supporting soil biology.

We believe that a diverse and healthy living soil is the critical foundation for all life on Earth. It is the key to restoring a functional hydrological cycle, beneficial carbon pathways, and improving human health on both the personal and societal levels. Utilizing cutting edge fencing technology, we can leverage the special relationship between ruminant animals and grasslands to meet our goals. Mimicking the natural movement cycles of disturbance and rest we can gather carbon from the atmosphere and accumulate it in the soil in the form of diverse living matter where it can do the most good for humanity.
